New Translation: TAKEUCHI Yoshimi’s Lu Xun
Jon Eugene von Kowallis’s latest publication is a new English translation of Takeuchi Yoshimi’s landmark study Lu Xun, co-translated with Joshua A. Fogel and published by the University of Hawai‘i Press in 2026. First published in Japan in 1944, Takeuchi’s influential study has shaped generations of scholarship on Lu Xun. This edition makes the complete work available to English-language readers for the first time.
